The 4G mobile network technologies are just practiced few months between us. In fact, there are still many areas where this technology is not implemented and if even though its available the coverage is low. However, this 4G cannot be so stagnant, manufacturers, operators and large companies are already started digging way for the successor for 4G Network technology.

Ladies and gentleman, meet the 5G Networks. Under the 5G @ Europe Summit 2014 organized by Huawei in Munich, the South Korean firms and organizations had presented the Roadmap of the new 5G technology and defined the challenges they will face from here to implantation. South Korea’s science ministry is aiming to implement this 5g Networks, which is going to be 1000 times faster Internet than the current 4G technology.
What 5G Networks will be?
South Korea has invested almost £900m(900 Million Euros) on this 5G Networks. And, the new 5G networks want to be ready for mass deployment from 2020, although a full adoption of the standards are expected and widespread use until about 10 years later (2030).
What news bring us? For many, not only related to the access speed, but also with the latencies. Unlike what we are used to see in current 3G or 4G, talks only about internet speed. In that technology, we cannot share internet access by multiple users on the same base station. The new 5G technology want to be able to deliver up to 10Gbps internet connectivity for each mobile terminal. Of course, this tremendous speed can be reached only if necessary, for any particular purpose. On the other cases, we can connect at lower speeds. For example, 1 Gbps internet connectivity to access other services and even a lot less speed.
At present, the millions of interconnected computers that communicate with each other and with the rest of the Internet. The 5G Evolution is thinking higher, they expect to exceed 100,000 million connected objects in the coming years.
Of course, the 5G networks must be more flexible, adaptable, inter-operable and especially scalable. 5G Network is not dependent on a single network protocol. It can make use of, to have available around you at every moment (LTE , HSPA , GSM , WiFi and new protocols that are coming)with the spectrum Wireless.
The connection establishes virtually with negligible latencies. For example, there is talk of less than 1 ms for real-time applications, communications between vehicles or a maximum of 10 ms to switch between different access technologies.
5G Networks: Issues and Challenges
As you can imagine, 5G is not being designed to go digging on the web and update Facebook posts. Also, for the proliferation of face visual communications that allow us to interact remotely with our partners like we were right there. Its like something that goes far beyond video calling and involve areas of automation and robotics.
Of course all this will bring new technological challenges and not to mention other factors like battery life of the devices. 5G Networks want to increase energy efficiency in the transmission by reducing the energy consumed per bit by a factor of 1,000. Come on, we can be online all day without having to carry our phone charger all along.
