You might have probably know this, Deleting/Uninstalling Apps will not delete all the data from your Windows Phone. After Uninstalling also there will be left as dump files stored in your Windows Phone out of knowledge. Basically unlike android devices you are not permitted to see or manage your files in Windows Phone 8. You can connect your Phone to your Desktop Windows PC to manage files. It will be more annoying to connect your phone often with system, and now we got this Application. STORAGE CHECK is an all-in-one Application that displays the Storage space visually on your Phone. This application is available for FREE on Windows Phone Apps. When I bought my Nokia Lumia 520, I got this App by default. But I am not pretty sure about availability of this Application on all Nokia Phone with Windows 8.
Download this Application directly via Windows Phone (or) you can download the App file manually using the above link and install it using Micro SD card.
After Installing this Application, go to Settings → STORAGE CHECK. There you can see the Storage Allocation in a Wheel like structure displaying Total space and the Used Space.
Clearing Temporary files on your Windows Phone
Slide your phone left to see storage allocation details on each section. Here you can find the Temporary files. Usually most of the dump files like broken music files, app files and others are stored here. Just click CLEAR, to clear all your temporary files in your Windows Phone.
For HTC devices, running Windows Phone 8 use Make More Space application to free up temporary files and manage the storage of your Phone. This application is more or less same as that of STORAGE CHECK.
